Where to showoff

There are areas and places where to showoff. That are pleaces and situations where you can exhibit your feminine attraction. There are most valuable qualities, tastes, habits, that you can develop.

There are places where as a young lady you find expression for your views of life. There are opportunities open up there for you to impact your community through your practical experience, and be most useful to others.

These are the elements of a good name, a valuable reputation in a young lady. They are more to be sought for, and more to be depended upon, than any outward qualification.

They form an attraction which will win the regard and affection of the wise and enlightened, where the lure of dress, and other worthless accomplishments, would prove utterly useless.

Remember also that it is one thing for you not to have a bad reputation. But it is quite another thing to have a good one. It is praiseworthy to avoid doing evil. But it is better still to do good.

Wash you, make you clean; put away the evil of your doings from before mine eyes; cease to do evil; learn to well; seek justice, relieve the oppressed, judge the fatherless, plead for the widow. Isaiah 1:16-17

Paul also exhorts you not only to "cease to do evil," but to "learn to do well."

The young, while striving to avoid the evils of a bad reputation, should seek for the advantages of a good one.
