There are certain Bible Free Online Study Tools to boost your understanding of the Bible. You need to use them to gain deeper knowledge of the Word.
That is why we need to first consider why the knowledge of the Word is so important in your life.
Why is Knowledge so important?
Knowledge is very important for success. If you want to reach your goal in life, you must first of all seek the right knowledge.
You must use the tools available for your Bible Study to gain maximum knowledge.
You may ask what of good motive? Good motive has it own part to play. The world and the society train you to be self centred and selfish in many ways.
The worldly people in many ways are in peril. If you conform to the world and the standard of th people you will face the same danger with them:
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” Romans 12:2
So having a pure motive and a degree of altruism would protect you.
However, your good motive would never replace knowledge.
There are things you must know. Therefore you must seek to find the correct knowledge.
Knowledge is one of the important tools for success. You must apply the right knowledge to your particular situation. This is the surest way to success.
That is the reason why the wise King Solomon wrote in the Bible:
“ Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.”
Proverbs 4:7
Let us consider an example of two people who went out at night. Susan had a pure motive to help a friend in a serious need. Judas was a thief.
He planned to rub a bank. He was willing to kill and destroy anyone or thing that stand on his way.
In order to reach their goals both Susan and Judas would have to pass through a rough and stony ground with scattered ditches.
Judas with his bad motive however had a perfect knowledge of the dangerous terrain. He therefore went through and reached his target without much trouble.
Susan with her good intention had no knowledge of the rough and dangerous ground that she must pass through in the dark. She had a good intention that could not save her.
She stumbled over the stones and fell into a ditch breaking her arm.
“My people are destroyed for lack of KNOWLEDGE: because thou hast rejected… “ Hosea 4:6
Success requires knowledge. The Bible gives sound knowledge. You must seek and apply the knowledge gained in the Word of God.
- Also, that the soul be without KNOWLEDGE, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.
Proverbs 19:2
- And by KNOWLEDGE shall the chambers be filled with all precious and pleasant riches.
Proverbs 24:4
- For the priest's lips should keep KNOWLEDGE, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts.
Malachi 2:7
- But this people who knoweth not the law are cursed.
John 7:49
- STUDY to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.
2 Timothy 2:15
