What do you think About?
What you think often about affects your life. The dominant picture in the chamber of your imagination determines your lot in life.
Your success or failure depends on the dominant thought in your mind.
Your thought is what you meditate one in the dept of your heart. It is the dominant picture in the chamber of your imagination.
Your success or failure depends on the design made by it in your mind.
A wise king wrote in the Bible's book of Proverbs 23:7 that, “A man is what he thinks in his heart.”
This shows that your thought determines what you become in life.
The first component of your Success Formula is the letter T. It stands for your Thought.
Your thought is an important ingredient for success. Your present state is fashioned by your past thoughts.
Your success therefore begins with and is rooted in the kinds of thought that you dwell-upon in your mind.
To change your life, you would need to change your thought.
Your thought is like a seed. It contains within the potential for future manifestation. When you plant it in the soil of your consciousness, it germinates. It grows. Then it bears many fruits.
In your life you actually receive the fruit of your thoughts:
“Hear, O earth: behold, I will bring evil upon this people, [even] the fruit of their thoughts, because they have not hearkened unto my words, nor to my law, but rejected it.”
Jeremiah 6:19
Your thought is creative. It attracts to you, and links you with whatever object or situation that you medidate often about.
Something to remember:
- “The counsel of the Lord stands for ever, the thoughts of His heart to all generations”.
Psalms 33:11
- “O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee.” Jeremiah 4:14
The Bible says most people naturally engage in vain thoughts:
- “And again, The Lord knoweth the thoughts of the wise, that they are vain.” 1 Corinthians 3:20
- “O Jerusalem, wash thine heart from wickedness, that thou mayest be saved. How long shall thy vain thoughts lodge within thee?”
Jeremiah 4:14
The main issue is that your thought is different from God’s.
- “For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD. 9 For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.” Isaiah 55:8-9
-
“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not evil, to give you a future and a hope.” Jeremiah 29:11
But your thoughts need to be acceptable and perfect. That is why the Bible tells you that the thought of the diligent leads to increase and prosperity:
“The thoughts of the diligent [tend] only to plenteousness…” Proverbs 21:5
To help you think perfect and acceptable thoughts, Paul gave you a list. Those are values to occupy your mind with:
“Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.” Philippians 4:8
