Your Reputation

At young age, you need a right reputation. The Bible says,

"Laying up in store for themselves a good foundation against the time to come." 1 Timothy 6:19.

You need to engage yourself early in life on one line of action. This is what would insure your peaceful future. You need from onset to develop a good reputation.

You need to lay a solid foundation for your future right now.

You love your career. You want it to bring you honor and not disgrace. You also desire to prosper in it.

Maybe you aspire to enjoy the respect and confidence of your co-workers. You want your old age to be calm, serene, and peaceful.

You want to live your life without future regret and with peace of mind.

Those are legitimate desires. However, the Bible says there is only one way to achieve all of them. It is by making the Word of God your guide.

“Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.

With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.

Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.” Psalms 119:9-11

You need to lay a good foundation for your life. You need to build your life with God’s word as guide.

That is why you have to prepare for your future right very early in life. You are a master builder. Lay therefore a good foundation for your life. And make sure you lay it on a solid rock.

This is a foundation should be capable of sustaining the entire edifice of your life against the evil days ahead.

Your life edifice could find strength and beauty only when it is not built on sand.

The farmer plants his seed into the soil. This is what brings about the fruit in future at harvest. He could not gather any fruit unless he first plants his seeds into the ground.

This is also true about your life. Success, prosperity, and happiness come through careful preparation. You can only enjoy a respectable old age through prudent reflection and action now that you are young.

You must prepare for your future now that you are young and strong. There is no better time.

You need to cultivate a habit of hard labor at this early period of life.

You need early wisdom. Seek it diligently. When you are old it will give you a secure resting place.
