Is Love Your Motive for Giving?

What is your motive for Giving?

You need to give in love. Love is an experience that brings one into communication with God. It is a life giving factor. Love is the spring of all positive action.

It is the beginning of every good thing. It is what can lift up human beings to higher level. Therefore love must be your motive for going the extra mile in all your relationships. Let love be your primary motive for action.

Love makes human beings different from animals. It is love that determines the amount of space you shall occupy in the hearts of people.

You cannot truly succeed without loving others as your self.

“But I say unto you, love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you;”

Matthew 5:44

“But I say unto you which hear, love your enemies, do good to them which hate you,”

Luke 6:27

Love would make you give more than required. It would make you cultivate the habit of going the extra mile.

And the habit of going the extra mile would make you live your life in the spirit of true love.

Going the extra mile would make you render selfless service for the benefit of people. This truly is practical love demonstrated through service.

With love in your heart, you will joyfully give your best. You will do this willingly and graciously.

If the extra mile is not enough you would go two more miles. With love in your heart you would even go the third, forth and as many additional miles as may be required.

Love will make you go even seventy times seven extra miles to do good:

“Jesus saith unto him, I say not unto thee, Until seven times: but, Until seventy times seven. Matthew 18:22

Love will make you give the best service you are capable of giving. To do less is a dangerous thing.

This many people learn too late in life.
