Loneliness is one of the greatest challenges of modern society. For this reason, God set up the marriage in Eden and family life as His divine solution.
Reasons for Marrige in Eden:
1. The labor, enterprise and wealth of a lonely person is meaningless. They are at best a miserable business. Ecclesiastes 4:8
2. Two are better than one. When two persons unite through fellowship or association the result for their labor is greater than when each of them work separately. Ecclesiastes 4:9
3. If one falls down, his friend can help him or her up! Mistakes are easily discerned and corrected when two persons are in partnership. Ecclesiastes 4:10
4. It takes two to keep warm. No matter how much he or she tries, a person can never sleep and be warm alone. Ecclesiastes 4:11
5. Problems are better handled with two united. Difficulties and challenges are easily overcomed through a united force than in division and querreling…..Eccelesiastes 4:12
Conditions for a true marriage in Eden:
1. A man shall leave his father and mother. You are to honor and repect your parents. A time would come that you are mature and able to become the head of your own family.
To be able to love your wife fully you need to leave your parents. As a husband, you should give your self wholly to your wife.
This condition was given at the marriage in Eden.
You should love and cherish your wife as your own body…

2. A man shall cleave to his wife. This means a man should be “glued” to his wife for life. The two must become only one…
Divorce is not part of God’s plan for marriage. It’s man’s evil heart that is responsible for it. Matthew 19:8
Marriage is God joinning together of two – a man and a woman to become one flesh…
The Bible says, God hates “putting away” of your spouse. God hates divorce… Malachi 2:16
He would rather encourage you to put away all bitterness and wrath.
God’s solution to divorce is forgivess. You are married to be tender hearted and kind to one another. You are to forgive one another.
3. A man and his wife shall be one flesh. This union of bodies shows God wants couples united in their minds, hearts and spirits.
4. They were naked – God desire couples to be transperent and open to one another. Their fellowship should be in the light without any hidden shadow separating them. It is when their fellowship in the light that forgivess and cleanse come more readily. James 1:7
You should hid nothing from your spouse. Let your patner know your strong and weak points.
5. They were not ashamed. They could easily confess their faults to God and to each other. It is a well know fact the most difficult people for you to forgive are those close to you.
However, with the Love of Christ in your heart, you should love your spouse without hypocrisy Romans 12:9.
You should bear all things and be truly united with your spouse until death separates you……
