Now the benefits? You want to make going extra mile your life’s habit. That is a good decision. The benefits of going the extra mile surpass mere gathering of money.

Beside money, there are so many benefits when you develop the habit of going one extra mile.

Here are some of the benefits:

• It leads you to greater possibilities in life. This is the only habit that would lead you to enduring success.

• It makes you pleasant to others since you are willing to serve them by giving more than they demand from you.

• This would win you favor and bring you good consideration of people.

  • It is a key to promotion and advancement in your profession.

  • • It makes you indispensable in your human relationships.

  • It enables you command higher pay for the services you offer.

  • • It perfects your personal skill. It leads to physical and mental growth.

  • It adds to your earning potential.

  • • It would secure you against unemployment when there is job scarcity.

  • It makes you seek new, faster and better ways of rendering service.

  • It develops your initiative, self image, integrity and reputation in the community.

  • • This habit is a builder of a sound character.

When you go the extra mile or render more than you are paid for, you can be sure this habit would attract to you many opportunities for better employment or better pay.

Sure, your pay may come in an indirect form. But it would come anyway. You may therefore not receive direct or immediate financial benefit.

Let me remind you of one thing. There are two forms of benefit for you when you work hard on your job:

o The first is the monthly pay check you receive. This is raw money.

o The second is the work habit and the skill you gain on the job. This is a form of pay that often exceeds that of monetary pay.

Your skill or experience is your passport for better position in life. This is certainly what would promote you to better pay and greater responsibility in future.

That's how this habit would build your road to wealth, riches and success as sure as the day follows night.
