Daily Devotion

Daily devotion will help and keep you fully prepared for the day's challenges.

This is the time when you withdraw yourself completely from the hustle and bustle of this world to commune and tighten your relationship with God.

This little time spent with God is most important for your spiritual health and general wellbeing.

Physical training Paul wrote is very good. But spiritual training like your daily devotion is excellent:

"for bodily exercise is PROFITable for a little; but godliness is PROFITable for all things, having promise of the life which now is, and of that which is to come." 1Timothy 4:8

You can draw greater benefits from your daily devotion if you follow the tips given here.

Tips for Beneficial Daily Devotion:

1. Set a time:

Choose a fresh time. You are busy I know. Yet you need to make time out this precious period. David the King was a pretty busy one.

Yet he wrote:

“On Lord ...in the morning my prayer comes before you” Psalms 88:13

It is very important you meet God first in the day. You are absolutely tight up in the morning.

You find it near impossible to do your Bible devotion in the morning? That is fine try the night hours.

Even as the same King David wrote:

When I remember thee upon my bed, [And] meditate on thee in the night-watches. Psalms 63:6

2. Stick to your time:

It is as simple as that. You can meet God on your bed. But make a time for it. Make it regular. Habit is formed through repetition. Make this set apart time your new habit.

3. Use it to hear and talk to God.

4. Follow the Bible Examples of men and women who made devotion a “custom”:

• Daniel - Daniel 6:10
• The entire church together had the hour of prayer - Acts 3:1
• Jesus withdrew himself often from the crowd for devotion – Luke 5:15-16

5. Find a lonely place: The Bible speaks of “a solitary place”-
Mark 1:35 You find David using his bed at night for this purpose.

6. Ask God to speak to you. Read the passage use Bible reading aids if available. Spot out what it says and means to you personally.

7. Find out how you can apply it the same day. Pray over it and practice the truth. Matthew 7:24

You too could certainly follow their foot steps. You are strict with the office routine and meal time. You stick to both no matter what is happening around you.

Don’t be too busy. Stay strict and stick to your set time. This will honor God, your heavenly Father. It is certain to bring you immeasurable blessing.

Incase you don’t know where to start from; we are including here C.H. Spurgeon's Morning Devotion to begin your daily devotion.

It would help you cultivate this habit of meeting God on a daily basis.

I know it's going to be a blessing to you. It is expected to be read daily in the morning time.

But if it is not easy for you to schedule a morning time for your devotion, afternoon and evenings or night are equally good.

Make it a daily habit. Right on this page you will meet a new C.H. Spurgeon’s Devotional everyday.

If you miss the morning time don't worry. Make sure you come right here in the evening or night until it becomes your daily spiritual exercise.

Remember: The mercies and blessings of the LORD:

"They are NEW EVERY morning; great is thy faithfulness." Lamentations 3:23
