in life. Boaz and Ruth are good examples for you. You need a godly counselor who will advise and guide you. Naomi carried out this role for Orpha and Ruth.

Of course you need to know God is always in control of events for your good. I pray you will learn from these Bible study Ruth topics how to endure affliction and be counted among the truly great in Jesus name.

The Bible Study Ruth is a story about a changed life. Boaz, Naomi and Ruth had a changed life. They were counted among the lineage of king David and of our Lord Jesus Christ.

This kind of complete change is what God plans for you. God is ready to give you the power to become a new creation so that you can live a new vibrant life. God is ready to make you a member of His family. However, you need to follow the examples of Ruth and Boaz.

What the Book of Ruth teaches

At the Bible study -Ruth you will learn how to live a honorable life.

The book teaches about God and the way he deals with those who trust and serve him faithfully. It teaches about women solidarity in a male-centered society.

The women in their struggle to survive use the structures on ground for their personal benefits.

It teaches also about relationships. You find the relationship between women, between women and men and relationship with a stranger.

Bible Lessons from a Stranger

Ruth was a stranger in Bethlehem where she lived in a male centered society. Below are few basic lessons you can learn from a foreign woman:

You can learn how to adapt to seemingly unpleasant situations. If you are considering who to befriend, date, wed or marry, Ruth gave you a direct answer to many of your questions. They should be people you can talk about the same way Ruth did of her in-law.

Here is her answer:

“But Ruth replied Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if anything but death separates you and me.” Ruth 1:16-17 (NIV)

Ruth is a good model to the young people and especially to young girls. You can follow the example of Ruth and for sure your reward will equally be great. The story of Ruth teaches how to bring about painless changes in your life. If you desire a transformed life, then, you would need a good counselor who will lead you out like Naomi.

Your parents or your pastor could play the role of Naomi. If not, find Godly leader to show you the way of life and what to do in time of temptation or trial.

Remember your ultimate guide in life is the Word of God. Anything that is not in agreement with the Bible should be disregarded.

The Bible study Ruth shows in life, you will get many tempting choices to make. The best way is to linkup with the Lord and His people. Ruth made this choice.

She didn’t look back like Orpah who went back to Moab’s vanity and violence. What happened to Orpah? She perished in Moab!

In this Bible Study Ruth even though she started life with many handicaps, she took a different decision. She was not from a well known family. She was not the first daughter in-law of Naomi.

But because Ruth stayed with God and backed out the world of crime and violence she was honored. She belongs forever to the line of David, king of Israel and of Jesus Christ the King of all kings.

Ruth’s arrival in Jerusalem with Naomi set in motion God’s divine plan for both of them. She will come in contact with Boaz (Ruth 2:3) and eventually their initial contact will blossom into a beautiful relationship, resulting in marriage and the birth of Obad.

In the Bible study Ruth you are reminded that God has a plan for you and that He is in complete control of events that shape your life. No doubt, God desires that you choose rightly, and that the results of your choices would be to do His will at all time.

Action Point:

  • Decide right now to make Ruth or Boaz your model.
  • Decide to follow God and His people at all time.

God bless you as you decide for Him in Jesus name.
