You can be different

You are not among the majority of people. They want to change the government, the schools and the society. God wants you to change just one person. He desires you change your self. You need to become a better person. God wants you to be different so that you serve as a model for others.

You are asking where to start from? Yes, if you want to be different, the place to start from is right in your mind. That means, you must change your thoughts and your ways of thinking. When you change your mind, you would change your tact and certainly your life and situations will change accordingly.

“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.” ~ Romans 12:2

To change your mind is to make a u-turn from your old world and its ways. The Bible calls it repentance. This is what would lead you from the old world into the new.

A New Fashion Parade

You are not to fashion your life according to the world. That is to say, you have lost the right to live your life as you see ordinary people do. You cannot eat, drink or dress as you see others do.

For example, if you want to dress like worldly people, then you must be ready to chain your necks, your legs, your hands and probably put padlocks on your mouth.

You will have to put many holes in your ear, nose, stomach and who know where next worldly fashion would lead you to dig the next holes.

But remember, chains, holes and padlocks are for slaves. Yes, only slave masters put chains and padlocks on their slaves.

But you are royal. You are supposed to dress and carry your self in royal regalia. You are supposed to do away with the chains of slavery.

Here then, is God's instruction for you:

"Ye shall not make any cuttings in your flesh for the dead, nor print any marks upon you: I am the Lord." ~ Leviticus 19:28

You are in truth more beautiful without these chains, rings, cuttings and marks.

Your body is God's holy temple. You are rather to glorify God in it. Can you glorify God in chains or by piercings of your body?

Moreover, any king or queen who decides to dress as a slave would certainly be treated like one.

And any slave who behaves like a king will likely be given a place at the high table. So how do you want to carry yourself; as a royal priesthood or as a slave to sin?

The choice is yours to be different and be a king or a queen; or to live like everyone else and be a slave.

“And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”
~ 1 Corinthians 9:25

If you want to succeed in life, you must be ready to change. You are expected to be perfect, holy and excellent. You must think, act and talk in such a way as to prove that which is good, acceptable, and perfect will of God.

You must never conform to or accept the standard of the old world as your standard. In fact you are to become the standard bearer. You are the light and the salt of your world.

Therefore, you shouldn’t compromise your high standard. You must be ready to be different at all time and in all situations.

It's time to become a new creature. Why not today? Let old things pass away so that all things can become new. ~2 Corinthians 5:17
